STPI Chennai and FinBlue have Twitter, Facebook , LinkedIn and YouTube Handles. For effective engagement with users and reach more target beneficiaries in the startup ecosystem it is necessary to have a Designer who can support with designing the posters, Flyers and Posts specific to each Social media and post them regularly. Also to communicate on the events, conference, Training, hackathons, Seminars and other outreach activities that are planned.

Job Title: Graphic Designer
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Nature of Appointment: The post is proposed to be filled up purely on contract basis for a period of three years which will be renewed on performance basis every year. The appointment shall come to end on the expiry of the contract period.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

  1. Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
  2. Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval.
  3. Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
  4. Co-ordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
  5. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  6. Communicating with clients about layout and design.
  7. Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop, CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign Quark.
  8. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Graphic Designer Requirements:

  1. The Educational qualification of the desired candidate: Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design/ Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology or / Master of Computer application/ or related field.
  2. Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, CorelDraw, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
  3. Two Years of Working Experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
  4. Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  5. Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  6. Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  7. Experience with computer-aided design.

Compensation: Salary up to Rs. 18,000/- (Eighteen thousands only)  per month.  For deserving candidates, the consolidated salary as per industry standards, may be negotiated.

Selection process:

  1. Applications received by the last date shall be screened by a duly constituted Committee. Therefore, applicants are required to go through the eligibility criteria carefully and ascertain themselves regarding their eligibility before applying.
  2. The ‘screened-in’ candidates shall be called for Personal Interview and appear before the Selection Committee at their own cost.
  3. The Candidates, at the time of Personal Interview, must bring their original documents for verification and one set of duly self-attested photocopies of those documents.
  4. The Name of the Applicant in application form must be same as mentioned in the certificate of matriculation. In case the candidate has changed his name subsequent to matriculation, the evidence to that effect should be furnished at the time of interview.

Other general terms & conditions:

  1. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. Any candidate found canvassing for his candidature will be summarily disqualified.
  2. Experience in the relevant field shall be calculated after attaining the minimum essential qualification(s).
  3. Mere fulfilment of qualifications and experience requirements does not entitle candidates to be called for test and/or interview.
  4. Candidates are advised to upload certificate of their age, educational qualifications, experience etc. while submitting online applications.
  5. In case any candidate found ineligible on any ground after his appointment, his service will be terminated immediately without assigning any reason thereof.
  6. Candidates recommended by the Selection Committee shall be offered the appointment.
  7.
