Software Technology Parks of India

Software Technology Parks of India, is an Autonomous Society set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology(MeitY), Government of India in 1991, with the objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting the Software Exports from India.

STPI maintains internal engineering resources to provide consulting, training and implementation services. Services cover Network Design, System Integration, Installation, Operations and maintenance of application networks and facilities in various areas.

Process development is based on the Quality Management System. Software Technology Parks of India centres also adhere to ISO 9001 certification.

STPI currently has more than 50 centres spread across the length & breadth of India covering not just Tier-I locations but Tier-II & Tier-III too.

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is Government of India’s flagship initiative to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. AIM’s objective is to develop new programs and policies for fostering innovation in different sectors of the economy, provide platform and collaboration opportunities for different stakeholders, create awareness and create an umbrella structure to oversee innovation ecosystem of the country.

Six major initiatives taken in first year of establishment:

  1. Atal Tinkering Labs-Creating problem solving mindset across schools in India.
  2. Atal Incubation Centers-Fostering world class startups and adding a new dimension to the incubator model.
  3. Atal New India Challenges-Fostering product innovations and aligning them to the needs of various sectors/ministeries.
  4. Mentor India Campaign- A national Mentor network in collaboration with public sector, corporates and institutions, to support all the intiatives of the mission.
  5. Atal Community Innovation Center- To stimulate community centric innovation and ideas in the unserved /underserved regions of the country including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
  6. ARISE-To stimulate innovation and research in the MSME industry.

AIC STPI Bengaluru

STPI and Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog are collaborating together to build an Atal Incubation Centre in Bengaluru for innovative start-ups working in specific domains.

The AIC aligns with STPI as well as with shared vision of NITI Aayog to support, promote and grow culture of innovation leading to start-ups & successful entrepreneurs.

STPI Bengaluru AIC’s focus area will be IoT and its applications in Health & Pharmaceuticals, E-Commerce, BigData, Artificial Intelligence etc.

 

The STPI-AIC spread over 10,000 sqft shall be equipped with state-of-the art physical infrastructure, lab, common office facilities along with a dedicated team for conducting hackathons, idea challenges, workshops, trainings, technical & business mentoring sessions, assisting start-ups in the matters of IPR filing, legal, accounting etc.

With target to incubate about 65 innovate disruptive technology start-ups over a period of 5 years, the AIC shall be a major contributor in promotion of start-ups & entrepreneurs.
