Job Title: Incubation Manager (Startup/Marketing/Operations Coordination)
Location: IoT Open Lab, Bengaluru

Nature of Appointment: The vacancy is proposed to be filled-up purely on contract basis initially for a period of three years which may further be extended for a specific period depending on the requirement. The appointment shall come to end on the expiry of the contract period unless extended further.
Age Limit: Below 35 years. (Age relaxation may, however, be allowed to the deserving candidates)

Eligibility Criteria:

(A)Educational Qualifications:

Essential: Graduate from a recognized university.

Preferable: Post-Graduation in Management.

(B)Desired Work Experience:
  1. 5+ years of work experience including minimum 3 years of experience in incubation management & Incubation Ecosystem, demonstrating ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts, associations, chamber of commerce & industries, state & central government, angel investors etc.

Key Skills:

  1. Knowledge of all domains & areas which constitute the start-up ecosystem.
  2. Understanding of the latest technology and product landscape.
  3. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Knowledge for using MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and other productivity tools.
  5. Applicant must be able to clearly demonstrate entrepreneurial skills and experience as an enabler for start-ups/Innovation ecosystem or in the role of an entrepreneur or start-up founder himself/herself.
  6. Applicant should be able to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Job Description:

Selected candidate shall be part of the Core Team of IoT OpenLab CoE and would be responsible for the implementation and operations of the said CoE. The duties & responsibilities of Incubation Manager shall include-

  1. To manage and run incubation center’s day-to-day operations.
  2. Work closely with the HoC /CEO/COO to design, develop and run Incubation / Acceleration program and shall develop vision, strategy and business model to achieve the objectives.
  3. Develop and execute strategy for CEO/COO for implementation of strategy, review, outreach, scouting, evaluating, selection and on-boarding of quality and innovative start-ups and plan for continuous improvement.
  4. Manage the day- to- day interaction with the Incubatee and provide continued strategic guidance to entrepreneurs in areas such as business modelling, sales, and marketing, financing, fundraising, overall strategy, operations etc.
  5. Good understanding and access to the entrepreneurship ecosystem to provide high-quality mentor and advisory support to entrepreneurs.
  6. Organizing demo days, seminars, training workshop, mentoring sessions with start-ups.
  7. Enhance AIC brand visibility by publishing start-up success stories on internet and social media.
  8. Work on the brand management, identify current brand positioning and design research-based brand positioning strategy.
  9. Oversee intake, scoping, capacity planning, and execution workflow for digital marketing and lead generation activities.
  10. Identify and share best practices for audience targeting and database hygiene, email/digital marketing strategy, events, tracking instrumentation and digital channel measurement.
  11. Deliver clear, consistent, and frequent communication with Marketing and Events stakeholders to ensure ongoing clarity on strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for digital channels.
  12. Provide information for management reporting and prepare reports as necessary.

Compensation: Rs. 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy thousand only) per month Note: In case of deserving candidates, the compensation may, however, vary on the basis of qualification and experience, as per industry standards.
